In addition, it confers a further advantage in mid-career. It is proposed that some of the early advantages stem from parents’ wealth and other economic resources and that most of the advantage in mid-career is from these resources. Also, it is predicted the effects will be larger in a developing economy like Nigeria where economic resources are more unequally distributed. Findings in the Nigerian city of Ibadan support this theory.} }
