On a specific example, the need of using a systematic approach in this issue is discussed that means that all research operations performed in the process of zoning shall be interconnected and interdependent and their selection shall be based on a modular concept. A method is presented for statistical evaluation of the uniformity of environmental data in the selected region. Software application for windows platform was developed, making this method friendly for any specialist who works in the field of monitoring and protecting the environment. ER -
