Legislative and normative requirements for building structures on undermined or otherwise affected areas, including the measures ensuring the durability of these structures against effects of natural and anthropogenic forces and phenomena are described here. In addition, the study deals with the specific example of effects caused by undermining on the territory of the shopping centre at Horní Litvínov. This example illustrates how changes induced by movements of subsoil may affect adversely the system for draining away mainly rain water from the territory. ER -
