All types of printer produce any image by reflection of light that is fundamentally a subtractive process. Printers most often employ Cyan, Magenta, Yellow (CMY) color space. Besides, they also use CMYK color space which incorporates black as an extra element in color vector. Fractal compression technique has been successfully employed in CMY and CMYK scheme to reduce the memory space of the printing system as well to enhance printing speed of the printers. ER -
