In the SMEs context, cloud computing adoption and usage decisions are influenced by many factors. Despite the extensive literature, there is still limited research related to the factors which impact on SMEs, adoption of this new innovation in the developing countries. This study is designed to analyze and propose a conceptual adoption model for SMEs in Iraq. The research will be carried out using and exploratory and descriptive research design. Findings have practical implications for assisting the business sector of Iraq to be able to respond effectively and strategically to the global technological wind of change in such a way that there would be an efficient and smooth transition from the conventional systems to the cloud based technological solutions.
