The results obtained indicated that pH range for ponds was 6.06-6.78; salinity 9.01-15.25% and temperature 27.40-32.00°C. While the main channel pH range was 5.50-6.80; salinity 10-17% and temperature 28-31.4°C. Significant difference (p< 0.05) in salinity between main channel and ponds was observed for the month of April, while other parameters in other months (under investigation) were not significantly different.
