    Abstract: As footstep sound collected in a crime scene can imply circumstances of the scene as well as
information about the criminal itcould be the key to solving the problem. This may also include gender and
identification of the person, psychological status and situation, place and time, even weather and seasons.
What is more, each footstep has its own unique features which helps to increase possibility of recognizing
criminals by their acquaintances when suspects are listed. Individual footstep contains different stories inside
and thus itimplies that it can be a key clue to problem solving if any recorded footstep sound exists. This
research tries to help prevent and settle a crime by thoroughly analyzing information inside individual footstep.
