    Abstract: The present study presents an exercise of future trends of the productive chain of the <i>Passiflora
maliformis,</i> generally known as cholupa using benchmarking as a methodological tool. The study was
bibliographic, carried out through the analysis of specific literature on the subject using the data record sheet
applied to books, articles, bulletins, magazines and newspapers that were used as sources to collect information.
In this regard, aspects such as certified production, new fields of use for fruit, agrorobotic, denomination of
origin, technologies applied to the agricultural sector, new markets, among others were identified.
