The DVR employs a number of Voltage Sourced Converters (VSCs) linked at the same DC terminal, each of which can provide series compensation for the selected line of the transmission system. This study deals with simulation and implementation of DVR with open loop controlled systems. The hardware circuit of DVR was implemented. Keywords: power converter;PSPICE;DVR;SSSC;FACTS;India
