Rotor flux estimation is done through a mathematical formula necessitating two divisions and one square root extraction. These are implemented using non restoring algorithms. FPGA implementations of such operators are considerably smaller compared to the division and the square root derived from XSG Core Library. More importantly, the corresponding modules exhibit a moderate operating frequency of more than 100MHz and present an infinite precision which matches with the idealized floating point Simulink model.} }
