The news reports highlight that many companies who have been attempting ERP implementations, have not been able to succeed in their objectives, as ERP implementation process is complex and painful. This paper provides an overview ERP systems, implementation problems and highlight critical success factors for ERP implementations after examining the ERP implementation process in many companies across countries.
