It has been considered that about 70% or more of the total software development budget cost is expending in maintenance of a software application. Software maintenance is a process of activities when an application after deployment to modify an existent software application due to some error or in anticipation of future problem. A number of works has been done to reduce the maintenance cost and effort of an application; herewith, we are proposing an integral approach to reduce the maintenance cost while designing the software application. In this particular research work, we are proposing different approaches at design phase to reduce the cost and effort of all kinds of software maintenance during entire life cycle of an application.
