Various reason were identified for the poor performance in Engineering Mathematics and remedial steps were taken to overcome this issue. One of the step to improve the performance of students in Engineering Mathematics by including teaching via. computational tool which help the students to understand the subject better. Thus, the objective of this study is to investigate the recent usage of computational tools in the teaching and learning of vector calculus. The scope of this study is on the software’s that are mostly used in the teaching and learning of vector calculus. MATLAB, Maple, Mathematica, GeoGebra and Sage are used in the teaching and learning of vector calculus. Students were excited learning vector calculus, motivated to learn the subjects, avoided wasting time in normal computation, agreed that software is a powerful tool for simulation and enhanced the comprehension of vector calculus.
