A retrospective observational descriptive study was performed with the source of information being a national database (Registro Unico Comercial y Social, RUES), taking into account only registered manufacturing industry companies, their economic activity, sizes and locations. A direct association was found between micro and small companies and survival, likewise, a direct association between company size and economic activity was registered. These results may help in design and implementation of future projects that improve companie’s development and regional productivity.
