The evolution commenced with a ductile gneissose layering phase which led to the emplacement of a major NE-SW and a minor N-S planar foliation surfaces. This was followed by a probably Pan-African phase which is more brittle and led to the formation of NW-SE fracture systems including joints, quartzo-feldspathic veins, pegmatitic, quartz and doleritic veins.
