Abstract

The compositions of porous heat-resistant materials having a density 250,400 kg m–3, for protection of structures (Tmax = 1000°C) were developed. The silica clay (gaize) which presently are not used for the max production of ceramics was choosed as a principal structure formation substance in the creation of materials. The formation of the cellular structure of raw was carried out with the use of gas developing agent (H2O2 ). Fixing of structure was provided due to effect of thixotropic hardening (without the addition of binders). Increasing the strength and temperature resistance of the siliceous ceramics was achieved by introducing Na-containing substances into mixture. It was established that additives like Na2 , SiO3 and Na2CO3 combine the properties of the plasticizer gaize suspensions (slurries), a catalyst of the decomposition process of H2O2 as well as the corrector of the the phase.
